Kite’s Nest North Bay Regeneration Project

The Kite’s Nest North Bay ReGeneration Project is a 9,000 square foot single-story non-profit learning facility and ecological community campus. Conceived as a village centered around an interior courtyard, and connected to the larger grounds and community learning gardens, the building will utilize strawbale construction, reduced carbon materials, and solar collection.
The design team comprises Office of Living Things for Landscape Design, Studio Cooke John for Interior Design, and Derek Porter Studio for Lighting Design.

Innovative learning environments for experiential education;
Art workshop, exhibition spaces, digital media studio, community gathering spaces, refuge space, learning kitchen, offices and meeting rooms, and interior courtyard.
The development and design of an ecological campus with unique environments for creativity, play, sustainability, and learning.
Native plant gardens and community growing gardens
The building and campus will engage Hudson youth and young adults through both daytime and after-school programs year-round.
